Eurobandið

The Euroband was established in march 2006 by the singers Friðrik Ómar and Regína Ósk, who both have contested in the finals of the Icelandic Eurovision. They have had a succesful solo carrier and have released a couple of solo albums. Regína Ósk was the second runner up in the icelandic Eurovsion finals in 2006 with the song ÞÉR VIÐ HLIÐ (By your side) and Friðrik Ómar in third place with the song ÞAÐ SEM VERÐUR (Thinking of you). Friðrik also took part in Eurovison here in Iceland in 2007 and ended up in second place with the song ELDUR (Fire). The keyboard player of the Euroband, Grétar Örvarsson, is also well known to Eurovison fans.
